Excerpts from the workbook.

Is this workbook for you?

This workbook is for you if

  • You care for a parent or grandparent and want something to do together
  • You want to exercise your memory daily without feeling tested
  • You would rather write by hand than look at a screen
  • You like short, gentle challenges with no pressure

It is not for you if

  • You are looking for a diagnosis or a medical treatment
  • You want a long book to read; this one is a workbook to do

A gift you do together

For a mother, a father, grandparents, or for yourself. The workbook began when someone the author loves started to forget little things, and it is made to be done slowly and in company.

Who wrote it

“It's never too late to learn, but it's far too soon to give up.” From the introduction

One day I noticed that someone I love very much was starting to forget little things. And something inside me shifted.

I'm not a doctor or a neuroscientist. I started reading, researching and asking questions, and discovered that the brain can keep improving throughout life. I created these exercises thinking of my family, of myself, and of anyone who wants to take a little better care of themselves.

Frequently asked questions

How long does each day take?

Between 5 and 10 minutes. Each day takes three pages, with the challenge, a space to write, and a story to invent or remember.

Do I need to know Spanish or Italian?

No. The memory exercises that use words in another language always show the translation.

Do I have to write by hand?

It is made for that, with room on every page to write and draw. Handwriting works better than typing on a phone.

Can I start at any time?

Yes. The pages carry no calendar dates; day 1 is the day you open it.

Is this a medical book?

No. It is not meant to be a medical manual or a miracle cure, and it does not replace a diagnosis or treatment. If you are worried about someone's memory, talk to their doctor.
